Welcome:                 My name is Stephen Doherty, I'm 33 years young and I have been involved in Country  Music for most of my working life. When I was young my Dad   listened to the likes of  Porter Wagoner and Buck Owen's I loved the country music then and I still   do. For two  years in my early career I was a DJ on a local radio station in Strabane called the   Tyrone  Community Radio. Then in May 2008 I moved to another local community station in  Carndonagh (Co. Donegal) called Inishowen Community Radio (ICR FM) promoting Irish  Country Music. I am into my fifth year with ICR FM and I am enjoying every minute of it -  the   traditional sound of country music and the getting to know artists, promoters and fans  as the   great people they are.  I am one of the few Irish Country DJ's that plays Irish  Country Music every week and my aim is to attract a much wider audience to country  music.   I also do the Country Discos for 'Jayco Entertainments' in the Bushtown House  Hotel every Monday   night and every other Saturday Night in Tullyglass House Hotel in  Ballymena as well as other venues .
